Elegant Blenny

Omobranchus elegans. The Elegant Blenny is a rare and not often seen blenny in home aquariums. Elegant Blennies are mostly green in color but have a white head with strong black vertical stripes. Elegant Blennies also have yellow fins.

Elegant Blennies reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Elegant Blennies are strong jumpers and need to be kept in aquariums with a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Elegant Blennies are peaceful fish and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes them a great choice for reef tanks. In smaller tanks or when they are not given enough food, Elegant Blennies might turn to eating fleshy corals.
