Plectorhinchus orientalis. The Oriental Sweetlips, Plectorhinchus orientalis, has an incredibly beautiful body pattern and coloration that resembles a mosaic of whites, browns, and yellows. As an adult, its body turns more white with thin, black horizontal striping across its body. Fins become yellow with black spotting. The Oriental Sweetlips eats a carnivorous diet consisting of small shrimp, crustaceans, small fish, and worms making it not reef safe. They are best kept in FOWLR tanks with plenty of swimming space and live rock hiding places. They require a well-aerated tank and should be fed at least twice per day.
