Meiacanthus kamoharai.
The Kamohara Blenny, scientific name Meiacanthus kamoharai is found within the shallow waters off the subtropical, southern coasts of Japan.
As juveniles, their black bodies are scribbled with intricate patterns of white and electrical blue strains. As they mature, they bear a transition, shifting from erratic monochromes to a more minimalistic horizontal white stripe in opposition to their charcoal bodies. Their facial patterns become only a spatter of brilliant white dots.
