"Rhinopias sp. The Yellow Rhinopias is a rare and stunning yellow and black scorpionfish. Yellow Rhinopias have a mostly yellow body with various black and brown markings over its entire body. Yellow Rhinopias reach a maximum adult size of around 9 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 90 gallons in size. Yellow Rhinopias are semi-aggressive fish and shouldn’t bother other larger fish in your aquarium. Smaller fish and inverts that can fit in a Yellow Rhinopias mouth might be eaten. For this reason if you want to add a Yellow Rhinopias to your reef tank, do so with caution.
Yellow Rhinopias will lay in waiting for prey to swim by and use their vacuum like mouths to suck the prey into their mouths. Yellow Rhinopias have many protrusions coming off their body that helps them blend into their surroundings.
Yellow Rhinopias are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods like mysis shrimp, live feeder shrimp and chunks of high quality fresh seafood."
