The Pseudochromis aldabraensis, also known as the orange dottyback, neon dottyback, or Arabian dottyback, is a species of ray-finned fish from the family Pseudochromidae, the dottybacks. It is a vibrantly colored fish commonly kept in saltwater aquariums.

Habitat: Found in the western Indian Ocean, around the Arabian Peninsula and along the Indian coast to Sri Lanka.

Environment: Prefers offshore coral and rocky reefs from shallow depths down to about 25 meters.

Diet: Carnivorous, feeding on small crustaceans, worms, and mysid shrimp.

Size: Grows to a maximum size of around 4 inches (10 cm).

Temperament: Can be semi-aggressive, especially towards other dottybacks and smaller tank mates.

Aquarium care: Requires a moderately sized tank (at least 20 gallons) with plenty of hiding places. They are generally easy to feed, accepting a variety of frozen and live meaty foods.
