Any worm that lives in a marine environment is considered a marine worm. Marine worms are found in several different phyla, including the Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida (segmented worms), Chaetognatha, Hemichordata, and Phoronida. Marine worms can be herbivores, carnivorous, parasitic, detritivores, or filter feeders.
