Cheilinus oxycephalus. The Longjaw Wrasse is a vibrant and colorful larger wrasse. Longjaw Wrasses have a mostly red body with various white markings on it. Longjaw Wrasses also have the ability to extend out their mouths far from their bodies.
Longjaw Wrasses reach a fully grown adult size of around 7 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 125 gallons. Longjaw Wrasses are semi-aggressive fish and will bother smaller fish and inverts. For this reason you need to proceed with caution if adding a Longjaw Wrasse to a reef tanks. Longjaw Wrasses will also be territorial to other wrasses as well.
