Monacanthus chinensis. The Fan Bellied Filefish is a large and colorful filefish. Fan Bellied Filefish have a mostly yellowish tan body with small white protrusions coming off of its body.
Fan Bellied Filefish reach a maximum adult size of around 15 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 240 gallons. Fan Bellied Filefish are peaceful fish and shouldn't bother most other fish or corals. Fan Bellied Filefish will eat some inverts, so you must proceed with caution if adding a Fan Bellied Filefish to your reef tank.
