Red Tail Filefish reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Red Tail Filefish are peaceful fish and shouldn't bother other fish in your tank. Red Tail Filefish will take a liking to some inverts, so it is advised to not add a Red Tail Filefish to a reef tank.
